Croagh Patrick, Ireland's Holy Mountain
When I lived in Ireland, I could see this mountain from my cottage. It’s a beautiful sight along the road from Louisburgh to Westport, a pilgrim site. It’s not an easy climb, at least not for me, but thousands of pilgrims do it every year, even barefoot. The view at the top —Clew Bay with its 365 islands—is worth the climb.
