March Winds

$450.00

Another in the Months series. March hares, wind, changes. Promise of spring, return of winter. Joy. Awakenings. My faithful crow friends watch and caw.

There’s a lovely sonnet by John Clare, in which he imagines crows as chimney sweeps, their feathers darkened by brushing out the ashes of the old to usher in the new as they soar through the winds of spring. The painting was inspired, in part, by the poem.

Acrylic on canvas; image size 20”x16”; framed size 18”x22”
